As I've mentioned before, I write for my university's student-run history blog, and I published a brand new post this week! June is the themed month for island-related posts so I chose to write about Taiwan, or Formosa as it's otherwise known. The island's history is littered with piracy, invasions and attacks on native tribes, so it was really interesting researching the island and getting my teeth into a subject I'd never approached before.
