Poundland Discoveries and Superdrug Savers.

Whenever I'm within range of my nearest MUA Pro stand, nothing can stand in my way, I become a possessed woman. Remember the episode of Friends with the girls at the wedding dress sale, wielding whistles and clawing their way through? Yeah, that's me.

Same goes for Poundland, especially when it hit the blogosphere in the past few days that Stila products were hitting their shelves. I can understand people wanting to get their hands on them, especially when they're usually priced at £20 a pop, but what I resent is the woman that elbowed me out of the way and proceeded to spend ten minutes stood in front of the stand, and as I'm as socially awkward as a beakless penguin, I didn't have the heart to turn the tables on her. I've noticed a lot of bloggers having the same experiences lately and it's quite upsetting that manners have no place in today's society.

Rimmel mono shadows in Jet Black, Dusk and Goddess £2 altogether - I use Dusk on my eyebrows and Jet Black is my most used eyeshadow, I've used it pretty much all my life and I can't fault it!
Also thrown in was the metallic eye gloss in Soho. I've got a black one of these but I haven't found a use for it just yet, I'm boggled by the concept of an eye gloss...
Collection 2000 Skyscraper Waterproof mascara £1 - I was tempted to pick up the normal Skyscraper in another Poundland a few days ago, but I'm glad I held off for the waterproof because I can't actually wear non-waterproof without looking like Alice Cooper after five minutes (not that that's really a problem to me, considering I've developed an obsession with him lately)
Stila SPF30 tinted moisturiser in Light 03 £1 - I'm so sooooo excited for this, my Poundland didn't have anything else that was in my shade so I ended up with this but this might just replace my foundation on melty summer days!
MUA Undressed Palette £4 - I couldn't have been more ecstatic about this, I grabbed the very last one on the shelf! I've waited ever since they announced this was being released, and I've been itching to get hold of it, my heart sank every time a review appeared on the blogosphere, but now it's mine, all mine, my precious (I like channelling my inner Gollum)
MUA Professional Eye Primer £2.50 - I'm scared my current one of these will run out on me before I got another one, but now I won't have to worry!
Barry M limited edition lip gloss and Impulse Tease £3 - I adore these affordable bundles of joy, I thought I had every one but I was wrong, I love Barry M lip glosses and this one smells of chocolatey goodness!
Hardly beauty related but for all you iPhone owners out there...
Retractable USB cable because all my Apple ones are broken and these work absolutely fine, plus an Ed Hardy phone case, I don't usually use cases but this one has a semi-clingy matte surface so it's easy to hold on to!

I'll be making a separate review of each of the beauty products because they're all things I've been looking forward to writing about, plus they're quite popular in the blogging world lately so I'll blend in perfectly!

Have you found any bargains lately?

  1. That's such a good haul for such a small amount of money! I really didn't know there were Stila products in Poundland! I need to get myself into the nearest one pronto!

    1. Haha thanks, I always begrudge spending over a fiver on makeup, seems silly but high-end just makes me feel sorry for my poor skinny purse! You really should check it out, but it all depends on the store though, mine was full of darker-toned products and I'm hoping if I go to another it'll be different :)

    1. Oh gosh so was mine, I'm hoping that's not the same for every one, I'm tempted to trawl other local stores in the hope I'll find the bargains some other bloggers seem to have!

    1. I hope it isn't! My nearest one had a seemingly endless supply of moisturisers then 3 days later they were all gone! I can't recommend the MUA primer enough, it's absolutely perfect, I've read that it's as good as, if not better, than Urban Decay Primer Potion!
