MUA Haul (again) and a disappointment.

Immaculate Collection palette - free on offer, normally £8
It's taken me longer than expected to get to an MUA stand that sells the Immaculate palette so I could grab it for free with an £8 purchase, but it's finally in my hands! I love the range of colours here and it's going to come in so handy when I don't feel like lugging a selection of my palettes downstairs to use only a few colours, I'd call this like a 'highlights' kit, picking some of the best colours out of each 12 shade palette.

Glamour Nights Palette - £4
At last! I've been searching high and low for the Glamour Nights palette and I finally have it! Want to know why I've been so desperate to get my hands on it? Check out shade 11. Such a dark pink/red that I had to have it! I've got a feeling this will come in incredibly useful for Halloween...

Did I mention Poundland finally have their Halloween stock in? I spent too long staring at it all, it's almost all the same as last year but god I love Halloween!

Lip Liner in Red Drama - £1
I don't own any lip liners and I've been waiting to get my mitts on the MUA offering in the shade 'Red Drama', I've read it works perfectly on its own too so I'm dying to give this a try!

Lipstick in Shade 13 - £1
The lipstick in shade 13 has been on my hitlist for some time too, it's almost a coral-y red but you'll see a full review of it soon enough! I'm going to use it in one of my upcoming Halloween looks, so keep your eyes peeled!

Glitter eyeliner in shade 2 - £1
The gold glitter liner will come in useful for definition on one of my upcoming Music Inspired Makeup looks so I'm looking forward to this!

Now this is where it went wrong. I was running out of ideas for things to buy to get my purchase up to £8, so I grabbed this and without thinking, headed to the till.

See that? Yes, a tester. God knows why but the woman at the till saw it, knew what it was, couldn't scan it and just decided to scan it in as the gold glitter liner I bought before. I, however, had no idea until I got home and saw it. I'm a hygiene freak so this is scaring the living daylights out of me just being in my house. I'm quite annoyed the woman just let me go away with it, I'm sure it's because their stock levels won't be down and I've just paid £1 for a tester. I'd put it in the bin but I want to give it at least one try to make the purchase vaguely worth it, I might just swatch it, I can't imagine putting this bacteria bomb on my eyes.

    1. I really should, but I have a receipt that says I've bought two eyeliners, I'd be hard pushed to prove to them I didn't just pick up a tester as I walked in and began demanding a new one. Either way, it's more fuss than it's worth, it was only £1 thank god! xxx

  2. Oh my - that is horrendous! Did she really let you buy a tester? That is awful! Can you take it back and either exchange or refund? I'd be livid someone had allowed that! Think of all those germs (I feel so angry that someone has allowed this to happen to you!).

However I'm incredibly jealous of the immaculate palette - I WANT!!!

    1. Yeah I'm pretty livid myself to be honest, it's just sitting on my shelf feeling ashamed of itself, I might take it back providing I go back to that store again within the next few weeks, getting there costs more than the eyeliner did in the first place! xxx

  3. I'd probably try and take it back if I were you, I'm sure you wouldn't have any trouble. But I know what you mean, if it was only £1 you feel like it's hardly worth the time! Looks like you got some other great bits though. :) xo

    1. Yeah it's just not worth the money when it costs me £5 on the bus to get back there to complain! Either way, they need to be informed eventually so it doesn't happen again! xx

  4. I got the big 24 shade palette too, I took advantage of the spent more then £8 offer too, I can't wait to use that and my undressed one. Like Helen said I'm so mad she actually let you buy it, how stupid! xo

  5. i done that with a l'oreal primer last year, the green one? arghhh i was so annoyed :( couldn't be bothered going back to the store with it so i dumped it straight into the bin. I'm dying to get that MUA palette but i cant get the time to pop into town just now. I could get it online but why pay £3 delivery when i could get 3 other products!! :P Xx

    1. Oh no! That's ridiculous, especially at L'Oreal's prices, you must've flipped! So true, I really have to make a special effort to get to a store that has the palette, and the offer ends on the 20-somethingth of the month so I had to rush! Hope you manage to get hold of it! xx

  6. I really love the lip liner! It looks lovely. :) The tester fiasco is dreadful, it's ridiculous they sold you it. Perhaps you could apply it using something similar which you already own, instead of the applicator you get with it. I suppose it would mean there would be less bacteria to have a party in your eyes. :( What a shame because it looks cute as well!

    1. I can't wait to try the lip liner either, it's beautiful and apparently stays on for a while! Well I washed the applicator the second I realised I had a tester, but the bacteria's been spread through the rest of the product already, so I'll swatch it and bin it :( It really is gorgeous though :( xx
