How Much Does Your Face Cost?

This is one of the tags I've been most reluctant to post, purely because I cringe at the thought of all the money lathered on my face everyday, even though I only buy drugstore products!

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr x 2 - £9.98
Poundland Lip Balm - £1
Soap and Glory Smoulder Kohl - £5
MUA Clear Mascara - £1
MUA Professional Eye Primer - £2.50
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer - £3.99
Collection 2000 Pressed Powder - £1.99
MUA Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner - £1
NYC Lipstick - £1.49
Maybelline Falsies Waterproof - £7.99
Barry M Lip Gloss - £5
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation - £7.99
Rimmel Mono Shadow x 3 - £3
L'Oreal NutriSummer Face Moisturiser - £7.99
MUA Undressed Palette - £4
MUA Blusher - £1

With a grand total of £64.92, I can now go and hold my purse as it gently weeps. For a start, I was gobsmacked I use that many products on my face, it comes naturally to me and I've never thought back on how many different processes it takes to put my mask on in the morning! Even though I buy carefully with my makeup and I spend excessively on the necessities and scrimp on things I'm not all that crazy about, over £60 still surprises me. It's going to take a while for me to get over this!

I had a lot of fun doing this though, it's opened my eyes to how much makeup costs these days, even though I'm quite lucky here in the UK to have reasonably priced cosmetics, and of course the budget blessing that is MUA.

If you've enjoyed this post, why not do your own? I'd love to see how much your face costs! (That's not just me trying to make myself feel better by seeing everyone else spend more than me!)

  1. I dread to think about how much my face would cost - I use Estée Lauder for my base products! Wince! Good post though - really fun!
