EOTD: My love for you was bulletproof but you're the one who shot me...

It was a lovely sunny day yesterday so I thought I'd bring out the last of the gold eyeshadow for the remainder of the nice UK weather and make a visual transition into my A/W theme. I'm not an adventurous eyeshadow enthusiast in winter, I tend to stick to eyeliner and black eyeshadow and keep it at that, especially when non-existent lighting at 6am makes it impossible to perfectly blend two colours for my early morning lectures.

I had only recently restarted applying eyeliner into my waterline having seen so many blogs and tutorials making it a key part of a look, but my eyes water like Niagara and before long, my tear duct became completely black, so from now on, I've learnt my lesson to confine my everyday makeup to my lids and no lower.

MUA Professional Eye Primer
MUA Glamour Nights palette shades 7 and 8 blended on lid and towards brow, shade 12 highlight under brow, shade 7 on lower lashline
Soap and Glory Smoulder Kohl liner on lashline and in waterline
MUA Waterproof Liquid Liner
Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof mascara

I had intended on making a tutorial on this look, but as I was going along, I found it increasingly harder to get a good photo on my phone, and as I reviewed the photos I took, I had rubbish photos of certain stages and they had to be deleted. So apologies for that, tutorials will come as soon as I get the hang of taking photos with a phone when I can't see the screen!

How do you change your makeup for autumn/winter?

  1. This is so pretty! I don't really make much of an effort for morning lectures either. I'd rather use the extra time it takes for making an effort with my make up for sleeping. Plus my level of concentration before 6am is pretty low. :P

This also reminded me that I haven't used my Glamour Nights palette in ages! I might have to dig it out again at some point.
