The Haul Of Epic Proportions, featuring Lush and Superdrug

This was me yesterday:
This is me today:

At least nobody can say I don't keep to my word!

Sugar Scrub
I bought this for my mum because it seemed to be the only thing she liked. It's one powerful scent but I can't place it.
Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub
I don't notice much of a smell on this but it looks like a good scrub, something I really need!
Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly
The pot says this is a mix of cherries, coconuts and jelly, but all I can smell is blackcurrant jelly, and whenever my mum used to make it, the house would smell gorgeous all day. I can't wait to use this!
Imogen Rose solid perfume
I always feel a little disheartened when I come out the other side of Christmas without a perfume/fragrance, but then again whenever I spray a perfume on myself in store, I like it in that moment and then instantly hate it as it mellows. Imogen Rose is a smell I love in the tube, when it's first applied it smells a bit too strong for me, but when it mellows it smells heavenly, it reminds me of parma violets, those lovely little sweets I grew up with.
Emotional Brilliance in Feeling Secure
Nothing new to the blogging world, but some of the range was on 50% off and I was happy to pay £7 for this, I'd just never have paid £14odd whatsoever, if it's not a luxury brand it doesn't seem justified. Feeling Secure far from defines me lately, but the gorgeous purple was irresistible!
Godmother Soap
Admittedly my word wasn't entirely accurate, because I do somewhat regret buying the Godmother soap, I only realised when I got it home just how much it set me back - £6.31 for the smallest block there. Alas, it smells of Snow Fairy and it'll last me a couple of months I hope.

And no ridiculous spending spree would be complete without Superdrug...

Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 Brights Palette
My first Sleek purchase! I always use bright colours blended with black to make an unusual smoky eye, and these are absolutely stunning!
Barry M Nail Paint in Diamond Glitter and Matt White
Unusual choices I know, especially after Christmas, but I always make an investment with nail polishes and I'll be using these to add a bit of sparkle!
Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple
I've been dying to get hold of one of these, and I've stared at Candy Apple for months, not just because candy apples are my favourite things from my favourite time of year - autumn! I have to say so far I'm incredibly impressed by this, it applied like a dream and it's lovely and pigmented... only problem is I didn't actually get a good photo before I used it *slap the bad blogger's wrist*

Someone confiscate my student loan now, please?

  2. I shouldn't have read this, I just convinced myself it was a bad idea to go to Lush when in town on Tuesday! The Godmother soap was my first ever Lush product. I'm sure it wasn't that expensive back then though! I may have to change my mind about heading to Lush on Tuesday in the hope that some of the Emotional Brilliance stuff is 50% off!

    1. Oh noooo I'm sorry! I hate knowing I've caused as much damage to someone else's bank account as I have my own! Yeah I'm really quite shocked by that price, I don't think it's sunk in yet, I just spent £6 on soap! Ah well, it's Lush after all! Quite a lot of the Emotional Brilliance stuff was on 50%, except the black eyeliner and all the pinks, or at least they weren't at my store anyway, hope you find some bargains lovely! xx
