Maybelline Color Tattoo in Everlasting Navy - Review and Swatch

It's no secret - I'm a Color Tattoo addict. I have every UK released colour now. Ashamed? Why should I be? These are by far the best eye product on the high street and worth every single penny. So for the sake of not repeating myself, I'll make this review short and sweet.

Proof of my addiction - I didn't even wait to take photos before I delved into this. Sorry, not sorry.

Everlasting Navy is a shimmer shade, which by the rest of the Color Tattoo range suggests it lasts twice as long on the lids. True to this rule, my eyeshadow has lasted an entire 24 hours with this underneath. No creasing, no fading, perfectly pigmented - everything a cream shadow should do.

After using the Timeless Black shade for a while, I've become appreciative of the ease of application that comes with Everlasting Navy, which smooths onto my eyelids easily and evenly without separating. It makes for a great base for dark blue, purple and black eyeshadows, so it's super versatile for me, the one who wears black even in summer.

I love how this navy colour almost looks black in some lights, as you can see in the swatch, because it has a depth to it that makes it easy enough to wear on its own if you're not a heavy eyeshadow wearer, or even if you're in a rush to leave the house of a morn.

I can't fault Color Tattoos, I'm just infatuated with them and I'll continue to buy them whenever they release new shades, regardless of whether I'll ever run out of my old ones or not...

  1. I've never really experimented with navy eye shadows as I have very blue eyes and I worry they will clash but I do love Color Tattoos! I keep looking for the taupe version but I can't find it!

  3. This looks gorgeous! There is a definitely a lack of blue shadows in my make up collection. I was quite disappointed with Timeless Black (my expectations were probably too high) but I love the other ones I have. I keep meaning to buy more but I know I'll end up buying them all!

  4. I need to try these, I'm just worried about cream eyeshadows! I would start off with nudes, my eyes look horrendous with any dark shade - like I've been hit in the face with a pan. :( x
