Beauty UK Double Eyeshadow and Eyeliner Pencil - Review and Swatch

Double-ended pencils intrigue me. I always feel like it's a challenge to reach the middle and see just what's going on in there, do both products merge or have they agreed to disagree and draw a line between each other?

Black eyeliner on one end, white eyeshadow on the other - I'd call this pencil the yin and yang of eye products.
I picked this up purely because the white eyeshadow end reminded me of the NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk that bloggers across the pond rave about. I've been hankering after a UK drugstore dupe for a while and this was the only one in the same price range - costing £2.99 for two combined products.

I'll admit I'm not at all interested in the eyeliner end of this pencil purely because I can't use a non-waterproof pencil, however it looks very pigmented in the swatch and I'll probably use it as an eyeshadow.

The cream eyeshadow applies like an absolute dream, it doesn't drag on my eyelids and shades in perfectly without missing places like most other products do. I've used it on occasions as an eyeshadow primer and it definitely brings out the pigment in even the brightest shadows, which is exactly what I bought it for.

However, the lifespan isn't all that peachy. I found my eyeshadow on top creasing within the four hour mark, which is impressive if you're only wearing it for a night out, but when I'm after something to lock in my colour all day, it's not ideal.

One problem I'm now facing is sharpening. I wish I'd thought about it before I bought it, but I don't think anyone alive has a pencil sharpener this wide, so I may have to whack out a pocket knife and sharpen it the good old fashioned way. Stick a piece of straw in my mouth, bung on my flatcap and call me Larry, but needs must!

What do you think of double-ended products?
