Collection Glam Crystals Gel Liners in Rock Chick and Retro Chic - Review and Swatches

With autumn slowly creeping up on us, it's time to crack out the glitter eyeliners and sparkle as the evenings draw out. And where better to start than Collection's Glam Crystals?

The shade 'Rock Chick' is, to me, the most wearable of Collection's range of gel liners. This can easily sit tight on top of your normal liquid/pencil eyeliner to add a bit of sparkle to your everyday looks. Or even better, apply it across your lid for excess glitter which shimmers beautifully in the light. Where there isn't glitter in the gel formula, there's a true black pigmented gel beneath, so if you layer it up, you can make a perfectly opaque look.
I wore this on a night out last year and it didn't budge an inch and I found no glitter fallout whatsoever - which is what we all want from a glitter eyeliner.
It's an absolute dream to apply with the brush tip in the lid, but it's also great patted onto a sponge applicator (yes, I find uses for those little devils) and swept across the lid.

Next up is the shade Retro Chic, which I grabbed in my local Poundland and have seen in every Poundland I've been in, so if you're after it, be sure to check those purple packets! This shade is a lovely wearable antique bronze which would fit in with a neutral eye if you're not as brave with eyeshadow colours as I. As with all the Glam Crystals, there's so much glitter in the formula so you're not constantly layering over to cover up gaps, and its wear time is astounding thanks to the gel consistency.

I'm already on the hunt for more Glam Crystals shades, which sadly aren't well stocked in my local drugstores, because these two have proved their worth, and for £2.99, they're definitely worth every penny.

Have you tried any Glam Crystals liners? Which one's your favourite?

  1. I adore these liners, the glitter coverage and lasting power is just so much better than anything else I've tried. I own them in Spandex and Pizzazz which are two shades of green unsurprisingly! The Sleek Glitter Dip It eyeliners are pretty good too, although the packaging can make it tricky to get enough glitter onto the brush x
