10 Day You Challenge: 2 Songs

2 Songs

1. My Chemical Romance - Famous Last Words. It might sound strange but I want this one played at my funeral, in some kind of ironic reminder of the fact it saved my life countless times when I was a teenager. The words stick with me, I live my life by them. Gerard Way's voice is absolutely divine, this song never fails to make me realise I need to hold my head high, treasure every moment and laugh in the face of adversity.

I see you lying next to me, with words I thought I'd never speak,
Awake and unafraid,
Asleep or dead?

2. Queen - These Are The Days Of Our Lives. This one makes me cry every single time, without fail. Not only does it describe exactly how I feel about life, changing, moving on faster than I can keep up, but it also encapsulates how I feel toward the legend that is Freddie Mercury. He's been my lifelong idol, my earliest memories are of my mum's old Queen casettes, and the only way I've ever helped myself understand his death is by imagining that he's still alive, here with us today. It actually devastates me to no end that I wasn't even alive when he was.

Those were the days of our lives,
The bad things in life were so few,
Those days are all gone now,
But one thing is true,
When I look and I find,
I still love you.

As you can tell by these two, I like depressing songs. I like things that exude power and emotion through every note, every lyric. Give me an entrancing guitar solo, a hypnotic high note and thoughtful lyrics, and I'm in love.

This is a subject I'm really nosey about, so if you like, leave your two favourite songs in the comments!
