January 2013 Favourites - Time For Change

It's been a bloomin' long time since I did a favourites post, but that's mainly because I hadn't discovered any new products and I wasn't really changing my routine. However, as 2013 opened its doors, I decided it was time to alter that, so I've bought new products and made a difference both to my routine and my mood. For a start, I actually grew to love lip products, finally! The Revlon lip butters truly altered my opinion on spending time focusing on my lips as opposed to my eyes. Also, I took the plunge and started intensive haircare. My hair has been straightened and crimped and waved and dyed for 10 years now, and I've never taken proper actions to sort it out. I'm starting off on reasonably inexpensive products but I'll be building my way up to the higher quality products, just as soon as I have a job.

Lips
Vaseline Lip Therapy in Rosy Lips
I love Vaseline, despite what people say I really find it works wonders on my lips. The tint on this is beautiful and subtle at the same time. Read my full review here.
Revlon Lip Butters in Candy Apple and Sugar Frosting
My absolute holy grail lip products now, these two make up a perfect team of both bold lip and non-existent lip. I was really quite angry about how sheer Sugar Frosting was when I first bought it, but I've found myself using it more than Candy Apple because it's so easy to slap on in a rush. Read my review of Candy Apple here, I'll be reviewing Sugar Frosting soon so watch this space!
Rimmel Apocalips in Big Bang
Although a rather recent addition to the zombie collection, I'm already fully in love with this. Read my full review here.
MUA Lip Liner in Red Drama
This has been an absolute essential underneath all the red lip products I've used in January. It lasts and lasts, never budges, it's fantastic for £1!

Eyes
MUA Heaven and Earth Palette - Since falling in love with bold statement lips, I've had to tone down my eyeshadow, and this palette has been an absolute godsend. I completely ignored it once I got hold of the Undressed palette but I've found myself reaching for this more now I've realised the shades are much more suited to my skin tone.
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr in Permanent Taupe - Never a fan of matte shades, I first deeply regretted buying this. However, ever since toning down my eyeshadow, I've loved using this as a base, it's so easy to apply and even looks great on its own.
Maybelline Volum' Express The Rocket Mascara in Waterproof - Again, a new addition to my stash but I love the length this gives my lashes, even though I already have long lashes, it gives me a much-needed boost when my eyes are looking a bit worse for wear at 6am!

Witch Naturally Clear Cleansing and Toning Wipes - Cheap and cheerful, and they're really helping improve my skin lately, I'll keep on repurchasing these!
Lush Imogen Rose Solid Perfume - As you can tell, she's taken a beating in my makeup bag, but she sure smells gorgeous! Read my full review here.

Hair
John Frieda Full Repair Deep Conditioner - I swear this has made my hair thicker and I've only used it three times!
Umberto Giannini Backcomb In A Bottle - This. Smells. DIVINE. Oh, and it gives my hair a bit of volume too, but the smell is a biggie for me, I've spent too long with poisonous hairspray and this just makes life worthwhile.

So that's everything I've loved in January! What have you been loving in 2013 so far?
