Hallowed Hints - Egyptian Queen

While it's not the scariest Halloween idea I've ever had, I've always wanted to go as an Egyptian Queen one year. Of course, what with me being half Egyptian, the trendiness and glamour comes with the territory, right?

Ah I've missed Hallowed Hints. I should drag this tag out a bit more often during the year, just to keep reminding you how far away Halloween is...

To this day, I've insulted every felt liner I've ever laid my hands on because they just didn't work for creating fine lines on my lid, but now I see their use - drawing anywhere other than my eye!

I'll put my hands up and admit I'm not the greatest artist in the world. I failed my GCSE Art as it happens. But nevertheless, a time must come where you must see my artwork on here, so that time has come today. It's only a decent attempt because I spent half an hour perfecting it!

I'm ridiculously proud of my Egyptian heritage and Ancient Egyptian religion and mythology fascinate me, so it was only fitting to recreate the infamous Eye of Horus, possibly the most recognizable symbol of Ancient Egypt. At one point, I considered studying for an Egyptology degree, believe it or not. I was determined to be a real life Lara Croft. I even wanted to change my name to Cleopatra. And my favourite movie is Carry On Cleo. Talk about fangirl.

I blended yellow and blue on the lid as you see them often outlining figures in Egyptian art, but in hindsight I should've swapped them around - yellow is a nightmare to blend.

So that's my favourite un-scary Halloween look, but what's yours?
